Tell me mother, what's the taste?
Tender chunks of shattered waists
Carnage swimming on your mouth
Macabres concluding route
Mother tell me? what's their fault?
that you've drown them in your salt
With their blood and fluids fuse
Dead ones, never did you choose
Is it like a candy drawn?
When you chew them and their gone
By your tempestuous tongues
Fishes found a home on lungs
You pity not the drowning
And savor all the dying
Those pale faces whom you've bound
On heels, so they can't be found
Mother did you treat her well?
On your limbs, a swelling hell
The princess poor has lost her crown
For you hanged her upside down
Mother, mother may i ask?
Is it just to make them cask?
Made of metal, twisted cry
Your dominion they defy
Its a lesson you inflict
Those who mock and maledict
Your cordial sublimity
They keep breaking your decree
Mother, still they do not hear
All their faults, your children dear
How much will they have to pay?
Murders of so grim a day

a ship that was capsized by
"Mother earth/nature...."
the victims
the fishermen

near the wrecked of mv princess of the stars...

Such a powerful, poignant piece, Garald. I could really feel the tumult and anguish... very REAL.
I agree ben, it really raised the goosebumps out of me... thanks for reading. your great !, my sympathy is for the left loved ones of the dead., and damnation for those who are held responsible..

the authorities now are pointing fingers at each other...

the whose to blame in the accident...

yes arben..., P200,000 is not enough for the damage emotionally... the unfortunate ones...
our government sucks! they dont know what to do.., as long as the ship is in there., the fishing industry of romblon will perish...
LOVE... you are such a keen reader., thanks appreciating my work... i read about your works .. and i think they're great, splendid even... ~_^ thanks
Perfectly said florence..., thanks for the insightful comment... ~_^
thanks guyzz....
the mother figure in the poem, is not human...
its really " NATURE "
mother nature... having revenge on us
cause we abuse her kindness... we abuse nature right, aren't we?
its the main thought of this poem..
try analyze the lines... and you'll see what i mean...
some refer her as Gaia -
greek myth
our mother nature...
this is human nature,
to accumulate resources until exhaustion...
Guess what! Well, you'll just have to pop over to my little world and see! ;-)
this is one of those times when mother nature is getting back at us for what we're doing to her... u mistreat the mother, u face consequences... every "child" is punished for a sin which has or which may have not been committed by the many.. x_x
