Whispers from San Lorenzo Ward

I have known of a castle great
blasted winds; fumes from the east
groaning walls of complications
from diseased demon incantations
nights that i lay beside
the Artisans of Apollo reside
my needle tortured fingertips
to third degree antibiotic drips
from rooms of inconstant lights
uncertain curtain frights
ghosts that visit me hourly
getting signs of my vitality
collecting juices from my guts
boredom made me nuts
if only i had squashed the thing
i would never be guest to a king

Your poem evokes so much feeling, feelings, I imagine everyone has known--or always knows--and no one but you conveys in just this way.

thanks for the comment ekhosama,

the "king" that im referring to was the doctor who tended me, he has the characteristic of being rude so i portrayed him as tyrant of my fragile state.

BTW, illness can be, got good imaginations too ek.

im going to link you up. is that ok?

have a nice day mate.

thank for the comment flyingstars,

its an innate feeling really to write poems that are of great significance to a person from a dying experience..

HAve a nice day.,

and ek, i think the doctor is really over reacting to my illness, so he ended up looking like a business man than a doctor.
